Meet the Farmers

We are animal lovers just like you. We treat our animals humanely. We don't lock them up to fatten them, and we don't pump them full of growth hormones or antibiotics. That sort of food production simply isn't right, and when you feed your pets, we encourage you to think about how their food was produced.

We farm regeneratively because that is the right thing to do. The goal of regenerative farming is restoring farmland to what it was before industrial farming damaged it. You should feel good about supporting this type of farming.

We strive to provide your carnivore pets the best food possible. That means meat. No cat or dog in the wild ever went looking for corn or soy. Factories make kibble from grain because it is easier and cheaper, not because it's better. You owe it to your pet to feed them the cleanest, most nutritionally dense meat you can. We share that goal.

Hyde Farms

Hyde Farms operates a 6,500 square foot, USDA-inspected meat processing plant and retail grocery store in Greenback, TN.  It’s owner, Mitchell Hyde has been raising cattle and hogs for nearly fifty years.  With the addition of the processing plant and store, Mitchell became the only farmer in the region who personally handles every step from raising the animals, to butchering them, to selling them.  This ensures he has complete control over the quality of his products and services, and they have been great partners in processing animals from our network of farmers.

Erik and Shannon Jorgensen are the owners of Overhome Meat Processing in Thorn Hill, TN. The Jorgensens moved to rural Tennessee from their busy lives in California to experience a healthier, more grounded lifestyle. Their company, Overhome Meat Processing, specializes in working with local producers responsibly producing meat at small scale. They are great partners with a very progressive mindset and not afraid to take creative and innovative approaches to addressing challenges.
